Born in Switzerland to a Swiss mother & Italian father, Daniele grew up in Capri. At age 16 he moved to the U.K. to learn English and gain experience in the food and beverage arena. Returning to Capri he studied to be a lawyer, and in order to pay for tuition and books he worked as a room service waiter at the four star/diamond Tiberio Palace Hotel. After moving through positions in the F&B; and rooms division he then obtained a position at the Hotel Punta Tragara, one of the Leading Hotels of the World. He rapidly worked up to the level of Assistant GM, and met his professional mentor Mr. Claudio D'Angelo. After four years he secured a position at The Halloran House Hotel in New York's Manhattan. From 1986 to 1990 he moved up through the ranks from the line position of Front Desk Agent to Supervisor, Night Manager, Assistant Manager, and Front Office Manager. In early 1990, the owners of the hotel entered into a management contract with Marriott, and Daniele held the position of Asst. Front Office Manager until 1992 when he moved to Florida.
He spent the next three years at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club, and during this time had his first contact with Goldman Properties, meeting Tony Goldman in 1995. In 1996 he accepted the position of General Manager with Miraggio, Inc., a Company with restaurant and catering facilities in five locations in Westchester County, New York. In early 1998 he was re-introduced to Goldman Properties, and accepted the position of General Manager of the company's newest Miami project - The Hotel.
